We’re so confident
your home is Saracen Secure that, in the event of a
break-in succeeding through failure of our products, we will pay the cost
(up to £500) of replacing or repairing the forced window or door,
and pay
you £500 towards any inconvenience caused.
The guarantee is valid for a period of 5 years from registration and is
fully transferable
The guarantee will only take effect from the date of receipt of the registration
form.
The total compensation package of up to £1000 will be the maximum
amount payable in full and final settlement of any claims.
The guarantee will be subject to the observance of Saracen’s instructions
relating to the use and maintenance of our products.
The Guarantee will only be valid providing that no modification, repair
or alteration to the product has been made without our approval.
1. Contact your Installer and ask them to secure the door or window for
you
2. Call Saracen Secure on 07000 7272236/ 727223 quoting your police crime incident
number.
Saracen will arrange for an engineer to visit your
property within 48 hours to
make an assessment.
3. You will receive claim forms from Saracen which you should complete
ASAP
and pass to your installer for their completion.
4. Saracen will once they are in receipt of the engineers report, write
to you
giving details of the assessment and advise whether
the claim has been
approved.
5. In the event of the claim being successful Saracen will contact the
installer
and arrange for your damaged window or door to be repaired
or replaced.
6. You will then receive a cheque for £500 for inconvenience caused
during
your break in.
7. Claims are subject to the property being occupied and furnished.
8. Only one claim per property accepted. No further claims are allowed
under
the terms of the guarantee.
SECURITY GUARANTEE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
This guarantee is only valid if these terms and conditions are met in
full:
• The guarantee registration form must be fully completed and received
at our address, (Saracen Secure, Straight Road, Short Heath, Willenhall, West Midlands. WV12 5RA) within 14 days of the doors or windows being fitted.
• Windows and doors must be securely closed (not in night vent position)
and locked with the keys provided.
• Saracen hinges must be used in conjunction with Saracen shootbolts
and a Saracen approved handle on the same window. Or Saracen multipoint hooklocks
and strikers must be used in cojunction with Saracen approved hinges, handle and cylinder guard (or Vectis Lock) on the same entrance door. Or Saracen multipoint hooklocks,
shoots, hinges, handle and cylinder guard (or Vectis Lock) must be used on the same French doors.
• The Saracen products must be fitted by a registered installer
and adjusted according to Saracen’s approved fitting instructions.
• In the event of a break-in where a Saracen protected window or
door is forced open, you must contact your installer with full details
and a police crime incident number. If on investigation, it is found that
Saracen products were correctly installed, adjusted and maintained, but
failed during the breakin, we will then issue the relevant payment. This
will be made in two parts; (i) £500 to
the registered claimant and (ii) up to £500 to the original window
or door supplier for replacement or repair of damage caused by the break-in.
• Only one claim per household can be made during the guarantee
period and notification of any claim must be made within 90 days of the
break-in.
• The guarantee is applicable to UK and Eire resident homeowners
only.
